Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, scalable software solutions and production code.
- Create architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure implementation meets design constraints.
- Build and maintain enterprise full-stack Java applications in a large corporate environment.
- Use AWS cloud-native technologies, containerization, Terraform, and production deployment practices.
- Analyze large and diverse datasets to identify patterns and improve application coding hygiene and system architecture.
- Use and validate enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation.
- Guide peers on secure, responsible, and effective use of AI-assisted engineering tools.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Java 17 or later.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, operational stability, and Agile SDLC delivery.
- Enterprise full-stack Java development experience, including building, debugging, and maintaining applications in a large corporate environment.
- Experience developing microservices, containerizing applications, and deploying on AWS EKS or ECS to EC2.
- Experience with Terraform and production AWS deployments.
- Experience with an RDBMS, preferably Oracle or PostgreSQL.
- Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and critically evaluating their outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Preferred: familiarity with modern front-end technologies, cloud technologies, reactive Java, React JS, and Angular.
