Base Salary
$250k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the technical strategy and roadmap for source control, including GitHub Enterprise and GitHub Cloud.
- Plan and execute the migration from GitHub Enterprise to GitHub Cloud through scoping, design, implementation, cutover, and validation.
- Build and operate monorepo scalability improvements covering repository structure, branch strategy, code ownership, large-file handling, and CI integration.
- Develop scripts, hooks, guardrails, and developer-facing tooling to reduce SRE and product engineering toil.
- Measure improvements through build times, merge friction, and interrupt volume.
- Set technical standards through code reviews, design proposals, pairing, and source-control decisions across Zoox engineering.
Requirements
- At least five years of experience operating GitHub Enterprise or an equivalent system at scale.
- Hands-on experience scaling a large monorepo for an organization with several hundred or more engineers.
- Strong CI/CD integration experience across code review workflows, build triggers, branch policies, and merge automation.
- Experience with infrastructure as code, major cloud platforms, and platform migrations against active codebases.
- Strong technical leadership and written communication skills, with the ability to align infrastructure, security, and product engineering teams.
- Bonus experience migrating from GitHub Enterprise Server to GitHub Cloud.
- Familiarity with monorepo build tooling and supply-chain hardening practices such as signed commits, dependency governance, and secret scanning.
- Experience with code review tooling layered on top of GitHub.
