Responsibilities
- Evolve the KickOff GitOps platform to improve developer experience.
- Support product-team service migrations to KickOff.
- Maintain and optimize KickOff on AWS EKS.
- Manage on-premises Kubernetes clusters running ML training workloads.
- Establish monitoring, alerting, and observability using LGTM.
- Debug distributed systems across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Create documentation and tooling that makes infrastructure more approachable.
- Contribute to multi-cluster architecture, GPU workload scheduling, disaster recovery, and cloud-provider independence.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience running production infrastructure.
- Production Kubernetes operations experience and understanding of real-world operational requirements.
- Experience building internal tooling used by engineering teams and measuring its productivity impact.
- Strong experience with Terraform, Crossplane, or similar infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Experience implementing monitoring and alerting systems.
- Ability to incorporate security into platform design.
- Ability to debug complex distributed systems and design practical solutions.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and knowledge-sharing skills.
- Nice-to-have experience with Flux, ArgoCD, Cilium, multi-cloud architecture, and on-premises Kubernetes.
