Responsibilities
- Build and run Azure cloud environments and CI/CD pipelines for fast, repeatable deployments.
- Own infrastructure reliability through monitoring, alerting, recovery-focused automation, and incident prevention.
- Maintain security and multi-tenant isolation for confidential client data.
- Manage infrastructure for model serving and AI workloads, including cost control and scaling for uneven demand.
- Collaborate with feature engineers to maintain a smooth path to production as the team grows.
- Set infrastructure practices and make architecture decisions in an early-stage company.
Requirements
- At least seven years of experience running production infrastructure for web applications.
- At least five years of Terraform experience.
- At least five years of Kubernetes/AKS experience.
- At least three years of Azure experience.
- At least three years of Helm experience.
- At least two years of CI/CD experience, ideally with GitHub Actions.
- Hands-on experience with microservices and multi-tenant architecture.
- Ability to automate, reason about failure and recovery, and manage security and data isolation.
- Experience using AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot while understanding and standing behind the resulting changes.
- Preferred experience with Python, PostgreSQL administration, Bash, AI agents, GPU or model-inference workloads, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and security or compliance for sensitive data.
