Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions using the development team’s coding languages, tools, and standards.
- Create scalable automated tests and reduce manual testing activities.
- Investigate test failures, troubleshoot issues, and improve test automation effectiveness.
- Use AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot and ChatGPT to accelerate test development.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines.
- Perform defect root cause analysis and investigate application code when needed.
- Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and stakeholders on software design, user story refinement, and acceptance criteria.
- Mentor team members on automation best practices and contribute to automation initiatives.
- Act as a subject matter expert and participate in knowledge-sharing activities.
- Advocate for software quality, innovation, and engineering excellence.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on C# experience, including unit and integration testing, mocks, stubs, and mocking frameworks.
- At least 2 years of API testing experience.
- Strong experience designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks.
- Experience with test automation, technical testing, and quality engineering practices.
- Experience with Docker and building or optimizing CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of software testing concepts, processes, methodologies, RESTful APIs, web services, and application servers.
- Familiarity with or strong interest in GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar AI-powered tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Preferred experience mentoring team members and promoting automation best practices.
- Preferred experience with cloud environments, performance testing, end-to-end testing, software architecture discussions, Agile delivery teams, or transactional systems such as energy trading and financial services.
