Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web, API, and mobile applications.
- Support automation framework implementation and identify scenarios suitable for automation.
- Create test cases and test plans from business and technical requirements.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Analyze test results, investigate automation failures, document defects, and validate fixes.
- Support CI/CD testing activities and automated test execution pipelines.
- Apply AI-assisted tools to improve test design, test data generation, failure analysis, defect triage, and automation maintenance under guidance.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, business analysts, and senior engineers on quality expectations and issue resolution.
- Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, backlog refinement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
- Basic knowledge of automation tools such as Puppeteer, Playwright, or Cypress.
- Familiarity with Python, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman and version control tools such as Git or Bitbucket.
- Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and Software Testing Life Cycle.
- Awareness of AI-assisted development or testing tools and responsible AI use in quality engineering.
- Preferred: exposure to Agile/Scrum, CI/CD tools, performance testing, cloud platforms, test management tools, and AI-enabled testing capabilities.
- Preferred tools and platforms include TeamCity, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, JMeter, k6, AWS, Azure, Jira, and ADO.
