Responsibilities
- Design and develop robust single- and multi-tenant Java-based identity management products.
- Analyze requirements with product management and architects to improve the identity platform and develop PingIDM features.
- Plan, estimate, and independently manage development tasks according to business plans.
- Enable successful cloud deployments.
- Collaborate with distributed team members across the Portland metro area, Canada, and Europe.
- Work with customer-facing support teams to resolve customer issues.
- Apply strong attention to security, quality, testability, and performance.
Requirements
- Wide experience designing and developing large-scale applications in Java.
- Strong understanding of HTTP and RESTful web services.
- Familiarity with cloud architectures and deployment strategies, including AWS, GCP, and Azure.
- Experience using AI agents such as Claude Code to plan, validate, and implement functionality.
- Experience with identity management technologies and protocols such as OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect is advantageous.
- Experience with certificate and key management, cryptography, enterprise-scale security configurations, and performant systems is advantageous.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, independent learning, and ability to understand complex features and environments.
