Base Salary

$94k - $179k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead test strategies and plans for complex software projects while ensuring comprehensive coverage and alignment with business objectives.
  • Design, execute, review, and approve complex manual and automated test cases across multiple teams and functional areas.
  • Build, maintain, and scale UI and API automation frameworks and integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Analyze complex defects, manage bug reporting and tracking, and lead initiatives to reduce recurring production issues.
  • Define testing standards, policies, methodologies, documentation practices, and automation priorities across projects.
  • Monitor testing metrics and make data-driven recommendations to improve coverage, quality, defect management, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure product quality.
  • Mentor less experienced test engineering teammates, lead knowledge-sharing sessions, and guide troubleshooting and product knowledge development.
  • Evaluate and integrate emerging testing technologies and influence the strategic direction of the testing function.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 8 years of industry experience, including hands-on experience leading testing teams on medium-sized projects.
  • At least 3 years of experience writing complex automation tests.
  • Preferred: 7 or more years of white-box testing experience and 5 or more years of automation testing experience.
  • Preferred: 3 or more years of experience with Java or Python and 3 or more years of UI and API testing experience.
  • Advanced experience with test methodologies, complex defect analysis, requirements analysis, test strategy, and test case review.
  • Experience writing and maintaining automated tests with tools such as Selenium and TestNG or similar.
  • Advanced API testing experience using tools such as Postman, SoapUI, and custom scripts.
  • Ability to lead multiple testing projects, solve system-level problems, manage defects, and drive cross-functional collaboration.
  • Insurance industry experience and exposure to AI-enabled testing approaches are preferred.
