Base Salary
$110k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and own end-to-end backend systems for the alternatives platform.
- Architect scalable data models and services for complex fund structures.
- Develop robust APIs and internal tooling for performance tracking and operational efficiency.
- Partner with the Private Investments Team to translate investment strategies into product experiences.
- Build tools for fund launches, client onboarding, and investor reporting.
- Work cross-functionally to translate ambiguous requirements into system designs.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across financial workflows.
Requirements
- 7–10 years of experience as a software engineer with strong command in Python.
- Strong backend and systems engineering fundamentals.
- Experience building production systems with real-world complexity.
- Basic familiarity with private markets and alternative investments.
- Ability to work in ambiguous environments and partner with non-engineering stakeholders.
- Strong product sense and focus on user experience.
- Based in the Bay area or plans to relocate there.
