Base Salary
$180k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define the long-term vision for automated testing, including frameworks and quality gates.
- Design and implement robust automation across integration, UI, and end-to-end layers.
- Lead test planning with product squads to prioritize and automate critical functionality.
- Own the health and reliability of test pipelines, reducing flaky tests.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure to build and maintain realistic test environments.
- Optimize CI/CD test stages to accelerate safe deployments.
- Partner with engineering teams to define test strategies for new features.
- Guide teams through systematic debugging of failures.
- Promote strong testing patterns and quality-first thinking across teams.
- Coach engineers in automation best practices and quality ownership.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in test automation or software engineering.
- At least 3 years in a senior or lead test engineering role.
- Experience architecting or maintaining large-scale automation frameworks.
- Fluency in Python and TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Familiarity with tools like Playwright, Cypress, pytest, or REST API testing frameworks.
- Understanding of modern stacks including FastAPI and Vue.js.
- Experience improving CI pipelines in environments using Turborepo, Docker, and AWS EKS.
- Comfort with cloud-native infrastructure and testing distributed systems.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD and automation workflows.
- Ability to convert product requirements into executable test strategies.
