Responsibilities
- Lead the technical direction and delivery of client engagements.
- Design, implement, deliver, and test native iOS applications for consumer banking use cases.
- Guide architectural decisions and promote strong software architecture and engineering practices.
- Collaborate with clients, designers, product partners, and Lab49 leadership.
- Mentor engineers and increase their autonomy, capability, and effectiveness.
- Identify and address delivery risks while ensuring high-quality outcomes.
- Experiment with new technologies and help responsibly adopt AI-assisted development tools.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience designing and building complex, commercial-grade software systems.
- Proficiency in Swift and native iOS development tools including SwiftUI, UIKit, SwiftData, and Swift concurrency.
- Experience with consumer banking applications, including account management and onboarding.
- Familiarity with integrating APIs and third-party libraries.
- Knowledge of mobile CI/CD pipelines, mobile UI/UX principles, and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bonus: Android development with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Kotlin Coroutines, and MVI.
- Bonus: fraud management, KYC, AML, regulatory reporting, on-device biometrics, released App Store applications, AppConfig community standards, or enterprise app distribution.
- A college degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience, is a bonus qualification.
- Experience using Claude, Claude Code, or Copilot for AI-assisted development is a bonus.
