Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of scalable, performant, secure, and well-architected native Android and iOS applications.
- Provide technical leadership on mobile architecture, frameworks, libraries, code quality, performance, accessibility, and security.
- Write and review mobile code while maintaining high standards for quality and maintainability.
- Collaborate with backend engineers to design and consume REST and/or GraphQL APIs and integrate cloud-based services.
- Mentor and coach mobile engineers and support their technical growth.
- Own mobile build, release, deployment, CI/CD, and Google Play and Apple App Store submission processes.
- Champion automated testing, app stability, observability, and responsible use of AI for developer productivity and software quality.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience focused on mobile application development.
- Strong experience building native Android and native iOS applications using modern mobile architectures and best practices.
- Prior experience as a Lead Engineer, Tech Lead, or Senior Mobile Engineer leading a small team.
- Experience integrating AI-assisted development tools and techniques for code generation, testing, debugging, performance analysis, or automation.
- Hands-on experience integrating mobile apps with REST and/or GraphQL backend APIs and cloud-based services.
- Experience with mobile testing frameworks and automated testing approaches.
- Experience owning mobile CI/CD pipelines, build automation, and app-store release processes.
- Experience with crash reporting, performance monitoring, and analytics tools to improve app reliability.
- Comfort working with Git, Jira, Confluence, and modern agile engineering workflows.
- Ability to mentor engineers, review code and designs, and balance pragmatism with mobile engineering excellence.
