Responsibilities
- Own the technical direction and delivery of client engagements.
- Design, implement, deliver, and test iOS and Android applications.
- Write code, design systems, and guide architectural decisions in a hands-on leadership capacity.
- Lead engineers toward greater autonomy, capability, and effectiveness.
- Work with client stakeholders, designers, product partners, and Lab49 leadership.
- Promote software architecture, engineering best practices, new technologies, and high-quality delivery.
- Build and modernize mobile banking capabilities for onboarding, account management, money movement, new markets, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- 10–12+ years of experience designing and building complex commercial-grade software systems.
- 4+ years leading Agile teams.
- Proficiency in Swift and native iOS development tools including SwiftUI, UIKit, SwiftData, and Swift concurrency with async/await.
- Experience with consumer banking, including account management and onboarding.
- Familiarity with RESTful API integration and third-party libraries.
- Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines for mobile applications.
- Understanding of mobile UI/UX principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred experience with Android, Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Kotlin Coroutines, and MVI.
- Preferred experience in fraud management, KYC, AML, regulatory reporting, on-device biometrics, App Store application releases, AppConfig community standards, and enterprise app distribution.
- A college degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience, is listed as a bonus qualification.
- Experience using Claude, Claude Code, or Copilot to improve development velocity and code quality is a bonus.
