Responsibilities
- Design, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines for Node.js, TypeScript, React, and containerized applications across development, test, and production environments.
- Support developers with pipeline failures, releases, automated testing, regression coverage, reproducible builds, and operational documentation.
- Own the health and evolution of Azure infrastructure, including Kubernetes workloads, data services, storage, networking, identity systems, and cloud-to-lab connectivity.
- Automate monitoring, alerting, remediation, runbook generation, and other repetitive operational tasks using AI-assisted tools where appropriate.
- Create repeatable infrastructure deployments with infrastructure-as-code tools and maintain Linux hosts, build agents, and shared file systems.
- Design and harden the external Azure environment with zero-trust access, network segmentation, secrets management, private endpoints, and audit logging.
- Investigate application and infrastructure failures using logs, metrics, dashboards, and alerts, and collaborate with development, IT, network, and cybersecurity teams.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and cloud infrastructure, including ownership of production environments.
- Strong experience with Azure DevOps YAML pipelines, Repos, Artifacts, self-hosted build agents, Git workflows, release management, versioning, and rollback.
- Practical production experience deploying, operating, and troubleshooting Kubernetes and AKS workloads with Docker and Helm.
- Experience managing Azure compute, storage, virtual networks, DNS, firewalls, and cloud-to-on-premises connectivity.
- Experience with Terraform, Bicep, or equivalent infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills covering services, processes, permissions, networking, storage, and NFS.
- Ability to write maintainable automation with Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar languages.
- Experience delivering JavaScript and TypeScript applications, especially React frontends, Node.js backends, and containerized microservices.
- Understanding of Microsoft Entra ID, authentication and authorization, role-based access control, workload identities, secrets and certificates, least privilege, and network isolation.
- Working knowledge of relational databases, particularly Microsoft SQL Server, and familiarity with NoSQL systems, including deployment, permissions, monitoring, backup, recovery, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with centralized logs, metrics, dashboards, and alerts using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, or equivalent tools.
- Ability to own infrastructure improvements from design through production, document decisions, and collaborate effectively across technical teams.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with external-user cloud environments, hybrid platforms connected to physical hardware or FPGA systems, Linux and Windows build agents, and AI-assisted engineering or AIOps tools.
