Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, deploy, and support inbound and outbound integrations using EIB, Workday Studio, Core Connectors, and Workday Web Services.
- Build and maintain Workday Orchestrations that automate multi-step workflows and connect Workday with external systems and APIs.
- Transform XML, XSLT, XPath, and JSON data for payroll, benefits, ATS, banking, and vendor file formats.
- Create Workday calculated fields and custom reports to support integration requirements.
- Monitor integrations, troubleshoot failures, and resolve production issues within established service levels.
- Perform regression testing for Workday semi-annual releases.
- Apply integration security practices using ISUs, OAuth, SFTP, and PGP.
- Gather and translate business requirements into technical integration solutions with HRIS partners, functional leads, technical teams, and vendors.
- Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and issue resolutions to stakeholders.
- Maintain integration designs, data mappings, technical documentation, and operational runbooks.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on Workday integration development experience.
- Hands-on experience building and supporting integrations with EIB and Workday Studio.
- Experience with Workday Core Connectors and Workday Web Services.
- Knowledge of XML, XSLT, XPath, JSON, and REST or SOAP APIs.
- Understanding of Workday HCM data and business processes.
- Experience creating Workday calculated fields and custom reports.
- Analytical and troubleshooting skills, including experience resolving integration and production issues.
- Understanding of integration security concepts such as ISUs, OAuth, SFTP, and PGP.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to collaborate across technical teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors.
- Experience building or maintaining Workday Orchestrations is preferred.
- Workday Integrations or Workday Extend certification is preferred.
- Experience with Java, JavaScript, or Python is preferred.
- Exposure to Boomi, MuleSoft, or Workato is preferred.
