Responsibilities
- Turn the test strategy into practical test plans and automated test suites.
- Test business logic, data integrity, APIs, microservices, integrations, and end-to-end user workflows.
- Build and maintain automated API and UI tests and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
- Validate API contracts and interactions with external systems.
- Perform or support performance, scalability, and security testing.
- Use monitoring and logging to investigate issues and improve test coverage.
- Define and implement testing approaches independently and communicate findings to technical and business stakeholders.
Requirements
- Substantial hands-on experience as a senior test engineer in complex application environments.
- Strong experience with test automation, API testing, and end-to-end testing.
- Experience testing cloud-based solutions, microservices, and integrations.
- Working knowledge of version control and automated quality checks.
- Experience with several relevant tools or approaches, including Bruno, Cypress, JUnit, Cucumber, JMeter, Gatling, Grafana, or Azure DevOps.
- Experience with Azure, contract testing, service virtualisation, or test-driven development is particularly relevant.
- Completed short- or long-cycle higher education degree in IT.
- Very good English and good working knowledge of Dutch or French.
- Ability to collaborate with developers and business stakeholders, challenge assumptions, and explain findings clearly.
