Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain security measures, incident response protocols, and automation tools for systems and infrastructure.
- Operate and improve highly available, scalable, distributed infrastructure supporting foundational security services.
- Define, advocate for, and drive adoption of minimum security requirements based on realistic threats and practical mitigations.
- Measure progress toward security standards and help engineering teams adopt secure development practices and tools.
- Run Tier 1 services with 24/7 operational support in partnership with cross-functional and security development teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, an engineering-related field, or equivalent related experience; an advanced degree is preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in an infrastructure-focused Site Reliability Engineering role.
- Significant and demonstrable experience with at least one of Python, Golang, Java, Rust, C#, or C++.
- Deep knowledge of Linux security primitives, systems, packaging, container security, and SELinux.
- Strong understanding of operating systems, multithreading, memory management, networking, storage, performance, and scale.
- Experience running Tier 1 services for 24/7 support.
- Proven experience with large-scale, highly available, distributed, and fault-tolerant systems.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and containerization.
- Understanding of SRE principles including monitoring, alerting, error budgets, and fault analysis.
- Understanding of MacOS security primitives is a bonus; prior security experience and certifications such as OSCP, OSCE, or OSEE are helpful.
