Base Salary
$165k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Shape product experiences by proposing, building, and rolling out features that increase customer confidence.
- Ship end-to-end experiences across APIs, SDKs, and web interfaces, owning decisions from the HTTP layer through the UI.
- Integrate billing systems and vendor APIs while designing for outages, schema drift, and inconsistent data.
- Build observable and auditable systems with monitoring, alerting, and verification mechanisms.
- Use AI-assisted development tools and help establish development patterns for a small, high-velocity team.
- Partner with finance, product, design, and engineering teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Requirements
- Have at least 2 years of software engineering experience.
- Demonstrate a bias toward automation, leverage, systems, and tooling.
- Have hands-on experience using AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or similar in a genuine workflow.
- Have proven ability to design and deliver APIs for a rapidly scaling product surface.
- Be proficient in building web interfaces with React or a similar technology.
- Have experience with at least one major cloud provider: AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Have strong intuition for designing APIs that humans and agents can use correctly.
- Preferred qualifications include SaaS experience with usage-based or consumption pricing, billing feature development, familiarity with Rust, Go, or Java, third-party financial API integrations, and queueing or streaming technologies such as Kafka, Kinesis, or Pub/Sub.
