Base Salary
$180k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build analytical pipelines and visualizations over population-scale data to characterize dataset distributions and algorithm performance.
- Translate data variance and algorithm behavior findings into algorithmic design recommendations and actionable requirements.
- Develop data annotation protocols for internal product development and FDA submissions.
- Collaborate with Research, Product, Clinical, and Engineering teams to create cloud-based software solutions for clinical needs.
- Lead regulatory submission efforts and ensure software components comply with applicable regulations.
- Lead technical projects from conception through deployment and mentor teammates through technical leadership and knowledge sharing.
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues across distributed systems, applications, networks, and cloud environments.
Requirements
- Master's or Ph.D. degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- At least 5 years of industry experience in Data Science, Biomedical Signal Analysis, or Biomedical Image Analysis, or 3+ years with a Ph.D.
- Expert proficiency in Python and statistical data analysis libraries such as pandas, bokeh, and statsmodels.
- Experience working with large, complex, and messy datasets.
- Experience with regulatory submissions and developing medical software in FDA, MDR, or similarly regulated environments.
- Experience in image processing, computer vision, or 3D computational geometry.
- Experience with software development best practices, testing, CI/CD, and agile methodologies.
- Proficiency with orchestration tools such as GitHub Actions and Linux command-line navigation.
- Strong communication, collaboration, mentorship, troubleshooting, and diagnostic skills.
- Preferred qualifications include direct collaboration with Product and Research teams, advanced statistical and visualization knowledge, HIPAA and healthcare data security familiarity, and relevant open-source contributions or publications.
