Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and maintain Next.js front-end applications across six portals.
- Build and maintain NestJS APIs, microservices, scalable back-end architecture, and Prisma ORM workflows.
- Own Prisma schema changes, migration generation, seeding, and coordination with QA on data integrity.
- Deploy and manage dual-cloud infrastructure on AWS and Google Cloud Platform.
- Implement multi-tenant architectures with code-level tenant isolation and distinct portal access patterns.
- Use Claude Code, Cursor, and Claude Code sub-agents for AI-assisted coding, testing, documentation, migrations, code reviews, debugging, and refactoring.
- Build MCP integrations connecting AI tooling with platform data sources and workflows.
- Meet SonarCloud quality gates and address feedback from automated PR review bots and human reviewers.
- Build interfaces for data extraction, dynamic scheduling, dynamic pricing, and workflow automation.
- Optimize full-stack performance for millions of concurrent users through query optimization, connection pooling, caching, lazy loading, code splitting, pagination, read replicas, rate limiting, graceful degradation, and horizontal scaling.
- Profile and resolve front-end rendering, API, database, and cache performance bottlenecks.
- Implement real-time features and collaborate with designers, product managers, and QA on platform features.
Requirements
- Strong JavaScript/TypeScript and Next.js expertise, including App Router, Server Components, and Suspense.
- Deep proficiency with NestJS, backend APIs, microservices patterns, and Prisma schema design, migrations, and seeding.
- Proven daily experience with Claude Code or an equivalent agentic coding tool, including prompt engineering, sub-agent orchestration, multi-file refactoring, and AI-driven test generation.
- Experience using Cursor as a secondary AI IDE for code exploration, inline completions, and rapid prototyping.
- Proven experience building and optimizing applications serving millions of users with high concurrency.
- Understanding of database query optimization, connection pooling, caching, horizontal scaling, and performance profiling.
- Experience optimizing cloud spend, database costs, infrastructure sizing, compute usage, and memory consumption at scale.
- Proficiency with AWS services including ECS, Lambda, S3, CloudFront, RDS, and SQS, and Google Cloud Platform services including GKE, Cloud Run, BigQuery, and Cloud Functions.
- Experience with multi-tenant front-end and back-end architectures and tenant isolation.
- Core experience with Redis or ElastiCache for caching and session management.
- Experience with pnpm monorepos and pnpm workspaces.
- Understanding of SonarCloud quality gates, code smell categories, and static analysis compliance.
- Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation using GitLab CI or GitHub Actions.
- Comfort with remote development on EC2 environments accessed through Tailscale VPN and SSH-based workflows.
- Experience with Socket.io, Redis, and BullMQ for real-time features and job processing.
- Ability to follow security hygiene practices including IP allowlists, secret scanning, and GitHub push protection.
- Nice-to-have experience building or integrating MCP servers and tools, integrating LLM APIs, optimizing prompts and tokens, serverless and microservices integration, or healthcare, veterinary, and scheduling-heavy applications.
