Base Salary
$85k - $130k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop custom software, systems, and integrations according to ticket specifications.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance scalable, performant, and secure Python applications.
- Interface with relational and non-relational databases and write and optimize complex multi-table queries.
- Develop frontend web functionality using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Participate in code reviews, scrum ceremonies, stakeholder meetings, workflow analysis, and ticket curation.
- Monitor processes and logs, troubleshoot issues, and identify design or functional enhancements.
- Translate functional requirements into technical requirements and collaborate with IT operations teams on technical solutions.
- Programmatically read and write structured and unstructured data formats and produce and consume web services.
Requirements
- At least three years of professional Python experience.
- Experience with Python development involving RDS and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with Flask and/or Django and various frameworks.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript-based frontend development; ReactJS experience is strongly recommended.
- Understanding of relational databases such as MySQL and non-relational databases such as MongoDB.
- Ability to write and optimize complex queries involving multiple tables.
- Experience with JSON, CSV, XML, REST, SOAP, and AMQP web services or data formats.
- Basic understanding and use of Docker containers.
- Ability to translate functional requirements into technical requirements and identify complexity or problematic areas.
- Knowledge of, or interest in learning, laboratory processes, protocols, and data structures.
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline is recommended but not required.
- AWS or other cloud technology experience or certifications is preferred.
