Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert on the Android codebase.
- Lead the design and implementation of complex initiatives.
- Own and resolve complex technical problems in the Android domain.
- Establish and uphold engineering standards through code reviews and mentorship.
- Drive architectural decisions and partner with the Architecture team.
- Mentor engineers and grow the team's technical capabilities.
- Shape the Android technical vision and roadmap.
- Identify risks and guide the breakdown of large initiatives.
- Participate in hiring and lead technical interviews.
- Stay updated on Android development trends and champion improvements.
- Contribute bug fixes and shepherd community pull requests.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in developing complex Android applications with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
- Strong command of Android UI/UX design and architecture principles.
- Experience setting technical standards and driving their adoption.
- Familiarity with unit testing, UI testing, and snapshot testing.
- Experience using generative AI coding platforms like Claude Code.
- Knowledge of Android-specific components and Google Play testing tracks.
- Proven ability to mentor and coach other engineers.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to frame complex problems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Collaborative and adaptable mindset with openness and authenticity.
