Responsibilities
- Improve local development and daily workflow.
- Own local development environment stability and reproducibility.
- Enhance the daily editing experience with better tooling and navigation.
- Build project scaffolding and templates for streamlined workflows.
- Speed up build, test, and CI processes.
- Optimize testing tooling and ensure effective test orchestration.
- Profile and optimize build and test performance.
- Integrate and optimize code review tooling.
- Evaluate and promote AI coding agents and assistants.
- Measure the impact of AI tooling on productivity.
- Champion best practices and track productivity metrics.
- Establish automation to catch issues early in the development cycle.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience focused on developer productivity.
- Proficient in Go, TypeScript, Python, Rust, and shell scripting.
- Experience with CI/CD systems and pipeline optimization.
- Familiarity with local development environments and reproducibility.
- Knowledge of containerization and image optimization.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools.
- Understanding of test infrastructure and orchestration.
- Familiarity with code review and developer workflow tooling.
- Experience with monorepo tooling and build systems.
- Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience in async or globally distributed teams.
