Base Salary
$114k - $155k/yr
Responsibilities
- Guide design efforts, gain peer consensus, and support adoption of SRE best practices.
- Collaborate with software engineers and teams to design, develop, test, and implement deployment and reliability approaches using automated CI/CD pipelines.
- Use authorized AI capabilities for incident triage, troubleshooting, post-incident analysis, and identifying reliability risks or recurring toil while following data sensitivity and security requirements.
- Implement infrastructure, configuration, and network as code for assigned applications and platforms.
- Resolve complex problems and proactively address issues using service level indicators and objectives before customer impact.
- Improve application and platform availability, reliability, scalability, and operational outcomes iteratively.
- Identify technical roadblocks, business-problem solutions, and appropriate new technologies.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in SRE concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
- Experience supporting SRE practices for data management or migration platforms and familiarity with on-premises and public cloud compute, storage, networking, and database infrastructure.
- Understanding of monitoring, incident response, capacity awareness, toil identification, and defining and tracking SLOs and SLIs.
- Proficiency in SRE culture and principles and implementing SRE within an application or platform.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language or configuration/resource management tool, such as Python, Ansible, or Terraform.
- Experience with observability, white- and black-box monitoring, SLO alerting, and telemetry collection.
- Experience with public, private, or hybrid cloud platforms and container orchestration technologies.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and familiarity with container troubleshooting and common networking technologies and issues.
- Experience with general-purpose programming languages or automation scripting is preferred.
- Public cloud experience and AWS certification are preferred.
- Banking and payments domain experience, including payment processing systems, is preferred.
- Ability to collaborate across geographies, manage complex requirements, multitask, and adapt.
