Responsibilities
- Maintain and optimize the full robotics software stack, profiling data flows to reduce end-to-end latency.
- Design logging, monitoring, diagnostics, and telemetry systems for debugging and system visibility.
- Develop testing suites and validation pipelines to detect robot degradation and anomalies.
- Design and execute system-identification experiments to improve simulation models and controller performance.
- Build streamlined machine-learning model deployment systems and developer tooling for research teams.
- Write and maintain high-performance production C++ and Python tooling, analysis, and scripts.
- Identify performance and scalability bottlenecks and improve the software architecture.
- Implement safety functions compatible with machine-learning models.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, or higher in Computer Science, Robotics, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least three years of professional experience writing production-quality C++ with memory management, multithreading, and real-time constraints.
- Hands-on experience with ROS2 or similar robotic middleware, including custom message generation and lifecycle management.
- Strong understanding of Linux systems and profiling tools for identifying and resolving latency bottlenecks.
- Experience deploying and optimizing machine-learning models using TensorRT or ONNX on edge devices or robotic platforms.
- Preferred experience with safety functions or functional safety standards.
- Preferred knowledge of system identification, control theory, and rigid-body dynamics.
- Preferred experience building automated testing pipelines, CI/CD for hardware, and custom logging, telemetry, or visualization stacks.
- Preferred proficiency with simulation environments for system validation and testing.
