Base Salary
$192k - $455k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build software extensions that retrieve, parse, transform, and load new data sources into Twenty’s applications.
- Investigate unfamiliar source systems, design schemas and data models, and develop maintainable integration code.
- Coordinate approval, deployment, and updates of data integration components across low-side and high-side environments.
- Operate and maintain production data extensions and apply validated changes within restricted customer environments.
- Monitor data pipelines and platform services, tracking data quality, throughput, freshness, anomalies, and degradations.
- Build dashboards and alerts using the LGTM stack to make pipeline health visible to on-site and Arlington teams.
- Diagnose production data-path issues, lead incident resolution and root-cause analysis, and create runbooks, fixes, and design improvements.
- Participate in an on-call rotation using PagerDuty, including potential off-hours return to the customer facility.
- Serve as the engineering liaison for government customer stakeholders and relay operational feedback to product engineering teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or software engineering with a substantial data infrastructure focus.
- Strong programming ability in Python or Go and the ability to produce code that remote teammates can review and maintain.
- Hands-on experience building ETL/ELT pipelines using technologies such as Airflow, NiFi, AWS Glue, or equivalent custom development.
- Strong SQL and schema design skills, including partitioning and indexing decisions based on access patterns.
- Experience debugging production data systems by reading logs, tracing failures, and identifying root causes under time pressure.
- Experience in forward-deployed, field engineering, or embedded customer-facing engineering roles with independent judgment.
- Ability to work full-time on-site at a government facility in Northern Virginia and travel to Arlington, Virginia, typically four days per month.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance with a full-scope polygraph.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Preferred experience includes data lake and large-scale query technologies, streaming and message queues, observability tooling, restricted or air-gapped environments, military or defense contracting, and Docker-based environments.
