Responsibilities
- Build and maintain automated systems for business misuse detection, enforcement, and internal investigations.
- Implement and release backend-focused features with an emphasis on stability and scalability.
- Develop solutions for high-volume data processing related to fraud detection.
- Maintain and improve React-based internal investigation tooling.
- Troubleshoot software, fix bugs, and optimize database performance.
- Participate in technical discussions and learn infrastructure-as-code best practices.
- Collaborate with Data Scientists to integrate detection models.
- Work in a cross-functional full-ownership team with Product, Design, and Data Science.
Requirements
- Experience in full-stack web development through commercial experience or a strong portfolio, with a backend focus.
- Knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Understanding of backend development with Node.js.
- Understanding of SQL databases such as PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB.
- Familiarity with component-based frontend development, ideally React.
- Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP.
- Interest in Applied AI and its integration with backend engineering is desirable.
- Ability to collaborate constructively and give and receive feedback.
