Responsibilities
- Lead implementation of mobile test automation strategies covering unit, service, integration, and end-to-end testing on iOS and Android.
- Build, maintain, and improve automated tests and testing frameworks using Swift and Kotlin.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with CI/CD teams.
- Own mobile automation suite health, including flakiness, execution time, debuggability, and quality metrics.
- Troubleshoot test failures, device and emulator issues, and post-release defects while verifying fixes.
- Collaborate with mobile engineering, product management, development, and other quality engineering teams on testable, modular systems.
Requirements
- 5+ years of industry experience in software engineering and testing.
- Strong hands-on experience with Kotlin/Android SDK or Swift/iOS SDK and working knowledge of the other native mobile stack.
- Experience with modern build tools such as Gradle and Xcode.
- Strong knowledge of test automation methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with mobile automation frameworks such as Espresso, Compose Test, or XCUITest.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and using version control systems such as Git.
- Experience using coverage, flaky test rate, suite execution time, and escaped defects to prioritize quality work.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Strong communication, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Curiosity about applying AI and LLMs to testing and developer productivity.
- Comfort collaborating in English.
