Base Salary

$144k - $194k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Own APIs for creating, provisioning, powering on, and tearing down virtual satellites, gateways, customer terminals, and antennas.
  • Design orchestration workflows that coordinate failure-prone distributed provisioning dependencies with checkpointing and recovery.
  • Own the plugin framework that allows subsystem teams to provide initialization, health validation, and provisioning logic behind versioned contracts.
  • Build health aggregation APIs, continuous canaries, automated ticketing and paging, and end-to-end observability.
  • Integrate certificate, identity, entity-registry, calibration, emulation, and flight-software services.
  • Reduce provisioning latency through parallelization, image pre-baking, and removal of serialized dependencies.
  • Scale capacity and provisioning throughput across multi-tenant bare-metal pools while managing cost per simulated entity.
  • Partner with virtualization, emulation, subsystem, testing, and release-pipeline teams.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • At least 2 years of non-internship design or architecture experience for new and existing systems.
  • At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
  • At least 1 year designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
  • At least 1 year of object-oriented design experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Experience programming in at least one software programming language and designing evolvable APIs with backward compatibility and versioning.
  • Knowledge of AWS services across compute, storage, networking, security, databases, machine learning, and serverless technologies.
  • Preferred: 3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Preferred: experience with AWS Step Functions, Temporal, Airflow, or similar workflow orchestration systems; service availability targets; plugin architectures; EC2 bare-metal or hardware-in-the-loop infrastructure; PKI; observability; cyber-physical systems; and infrastructure deployment automation.
