Responsibilities

  • Lead UI architecture and design decisions for web and responsive applications.
  • Define UI standards, best practices, reusable component libraries, and enterprise design systems.
  • Review code, enforce quality standards, and mentor UI developers.
  • Design and develop complex, scalable, responsive, and cross-browser-compatible UI solutions.
  • Build reusable UI components using Angular, React, Vue, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Integrate user interfaces with backend services through REST APIs, JSON, and microservices.
  • Partner with UX/UI designers to implement wireframes and prototypes.
  • Collaborate with backend engineers, architects, and DevOps teams.
  • Facilitate complex problem resolution and provide technical guidance to colleagues.
  • Ensure accessibility compliance and enforce secure coding and enterprise UI standards.
  • Support unit, integration, and UI automation testing.
  • Prepare technical and procedural documentation and participate in Agile planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or a comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience.
  • At least 3 years of relevant or direct industry experience.
  • Multiple years of UI or frontend development experience.
  • At least 2 years in a technical lead or senior UI role.
  • Strong expertise in HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, JavaScript or TypeScript, and Angular, React, or Vue.
  • Experience building Single Page Applications, responsive and mobile-first designs, and consuming RESTful APIs and JSON.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based source control, and Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Preferred experience with enterprise design systems, component libraries, WCAG 2.x, microservices architectures, Jest, Jasmine, Cypress, Playwright, AWS, or Azure.
  • Preferred financial services or regulated-industry experience.
  • Strong communication, leadership, mentoring, problem-solving, analytical, and consensus-building skills.
