Responsibilities
- Lead UI architecture and design decisions for web and responsive applications.
- Define UI standards, best practices, reusable component libraries, and enterprise design systems.
- Review code, enforce quality standards, and mentor UI developers.
- Design and develop complex, scalable, responsive, and cross-browser-compatible UI solutions.
- Build reusable UI components using Angular, React, Vue, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Integrate user interfaces with backend services through REST APIs, JSON, and microservices.
- Partner with UX/UI designers to implement wireframes and prototypes.
- Collaborate with backend engineers, architects, and DevOps teams.
- Facilitate complex problem resolution and provide technical guidance to colleagues.
- Ensure accessibility compliance and enforce secure coding and enterprise UI standards.
- Support unit, integration, and UI automation testing.
- Prepare technical and procedural documentation and participate in Agile planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or a comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience.
- At least 3 years of relevant or direct industry experience.
- Multiple years of UI or frontend development experience.
- At least 2 years in a technical lead or senior UI role.
- Strong expertise in HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, JavaScript or TypeScript, and Angular, React, or Vue.
- Experience building Single Page Applications, responsive and mobile-first designs, and consuming RESTful APIs and JSON.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based source control, and Agile/Scrum environments.
- Preferred experience with enterprise design systems, component libraries, WCAG 2.x, microservices architectures, Jest, Jasmine, Cypress, Playwright, AWS, or Azure.
- Preferred financial services or regulated-industry experience.
- Strong communication, leadership, mentoring, problem-solving, analytical, and consensus-building skills.
