Responsibilities
- Engineer, support, administer, and continuously improve the enterprise ServiceNow platform and associated applications.
- Design and implement automation using Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, APIs, and platform-native capabilities.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with source control, automated deployment, automated testing, and release governance.
- Develop and maintain ServiceNow integrations using REST APIs, web services, and integration frameworks.
- Implement automated testing and quality controls using ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF).
- Support platform upgrades, patching, release management, environment strategy, configuration changes, and operational maintenance.
- Monitor platform performance, reliability, alerts, incidents, and service degradation events; coordinate resolution and implement corrective actions.
- Troubleshoot complex configuration, integration, workflow, automation, performance, reliability, and scalability issues.
- Partner with security, risk, compliance, infrastructure, operations, architecture, product, and application development teams.
- Lead complex technical initiatives, establish engineering standards and reusable patterns, and contribute to modernization and developer enablement.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance, coaching, design reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional software development experience is required.
- Deep knowledge of multiple programming languages, software architecture, design principles, software development lifecycle, testing, deployment, and security practices is required.
- Preferred qualifications include 5+ years of ServiceNow platform engineering, development, administration, or operations experience and 5+ years supporting enterprise-scale ServiceNow environments.
- Preferred experience includes production ServiceNow administration, operational support, incident response, change management, platform automation, CI/CD, source control, upgrades, releases, patching, and deployment activities.
- Preferred experience includes GitLab, GitHub, or Azure DevOps; ServiceNow integrations using APIs and web services; automated testing and release automation; and Git-based DevOps practices.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certifications are preferred.
- Experience with ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, CSDM, Discovery, Event Management, or IntegrationHub is preferred.
- Knowledge of AWS or Azure, observability, monitoring, operational analytics, and financial services or other regulated environments is preferred.
- The role requires technical leadership, complex troubleshooting, initiative ownership, mentoring, and coordination across teams.

- The annual base salary for work locations in Colorado or Virginia is $120K-$150K.
