Base Salary
$125k - $195k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop highly reliable software solutions used across SpaceX.
- Create applications that improve SpaceX operations.
- Build prototypes to validate design concepts and quantify technical constraints.
- Own software engineering and product development activities.
- Investigate user problems and create efficient solutions.
- Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, or a scientific discipline, or 2+ years of professional software-building experience in lieu of a degree.
- At least 1 year of full-stack development experience.
- Preferred programming experience with Python, C#.NET, Go, Scala, Java, or a similar object-oriented language.
- Preferred experience building single-page web applications and designing software systems.
- Preferred experience with version control, continuous integration and delivery, testing, build, deployment, monitoring, profiling, and application performance improvement.
- Preferred experience with build systems, package management, UNIX-like systems, infrastructure-management tools, streaming data, Docker, Kubernetes, frontend frameworks, and databases.
- Must meet applicable ITAR eligibility requirements or be eligible to obtain required authorizations.
- Must be able to work onsite; extended hours or weekends may be required based on launch cadence.
