Responsibilities

  • Manage the Payments SIO FinOps book of work with an AWS-first focus across AWS, on-premises infrastructure, and relevant SaaS data platforms.
  • Own the FinOps optimization backlog, including intake, triage, prioritization, execution tracking, validation, and value realization.
  • Improve data and systems operating at scale and ensure end-to-end application monitoring.
  • Support standard capacity processes, identify capacity risks, and govern remediation statuses with application and infrastructure teams.
  • Use and validate enterprise-authorized AI capabilities for monitoring, capacity analysis, documentation, and workflow improvement.
  • Make significant project decisions across multiple technologies and applications while aligning changes with resiliency, security, and auditability expectations.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in infrastructure engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
  • Strong infrastructure-as-code experience using Terraform.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure disciplines including networking, databases, storage, deployment, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, and performance assessment.
  • Experience using and validating enterprise-authorized AI capabilities in infrastructure engineering workflows while protecting sensitive data.
  • Strong knowledge of one or more scripting languages.
  • Experience operating in and migrating across multiple public and private cloud technologies.
  • Preferred hands-on experience delivering AWS FinOps optimization outcomes in a large enterprise environment.
  • Preferred working knowledge of iHub, CloudVision, or ClaroUtil for infrastructure usage, spend, utilization, opportunity identification, and outcome tracking.
  • Preferred experience optimizing Snowflake and Databricks consumption and cost.
