Responsibilities
- Maintain and support on-premises SAP workloads and S/4HANA systems on SAP RISE.
- Support migration to SAP ECS/RISE and administer portal infrastructure, SSO integrations, Web Dispatchers, Apache, firewalls, and certificate management.
- Monitor system health, troubleshoot performance and connectivity issues, conduct tuning, and produce capacity-planning recommendations.
- Lead critical production incident response, perform root-cause analysis, and implement permanent corrective solutions.
- Design, test, and maintain backup, recovery, failover, disaster-recovery, and business-continuity strategies.
- Harden SAP systems, manage user access controls, audit security, and support regulatory compliance.
- Oversee SAP BTP integrations, API management, and middleware infrastructure.
- Collaborate with global teams and vendors, maintain runbooks and documentation, establish best practices, and mentor engineers.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of hands-on SAP Basis administration experience with ECC and/or S/4HANA systems.
- Ability to design and implement complex SAP Basis and HANA landscapes, including multi-instance, high-availability, and disaster-recovery configurations.
- Expertise in SAP Basis and HANA architecture, including ABAP, Java, or dual-stack environments.
- Experience administering Oracle, SQL Server, or equivalent enterprise databases with advanced recovery and restore capabilities.
- Strong Linux administration experience with SUSE or Red Hat, plus VMware, networking, routing, firewalls, load balancing, and storage experience.
- Knowledge of SSO, SSL/TLS, user provisioning, and network and security concepts.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Preferred: SAP Basis or HANA certification, including SAP Certified Technology Associate or Consultant-level certification.
- Preferred: HANA 2.0 certification, two or more full-cycle SAP implementations, major upgrade projects, or S/4HANA conversions.
- Preferred: experience with SAP Cloud Platform, SAP S/4HANA Cloud, AWS, or similar cloud platforms.
- Preferred: experience with Kubernetes, Ansible, Jenkins, Docker, shell scripting, Python, or infrastructure-as-code automation.
