Responsibilities
- Build and enhance electronic trading strategies and high-volume, low-latency trading engines using core Java.
- Deploy and support trading strategies, analytical tools, and scalable, resilient, message-driven infrastructure.
- Improve algorithm development, technical and execution performance, and the generation and analysis of trading signals and data.
- Work with global trading, quantitative, and IT teams to translate requirements into well-designed and coded solutions.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements, design, development, and deployment.
Requirements
- Expert-level core Java knowledge in a UNIX/Linux environment.
- Experience working in a front-office environment with trading and quantitative strategists.
- Experience developing systems for automated market making or algorithmic trading in liquid markets such as equities, FX, or liquid rates.
- Knowledge of low-latency messaging middleware and publish/subscribe technologies.
- Electronic trading knowledge, preferably in cash equities, ETFs, or futures; liquid rates or FX experience is also acceptable.
- Strong problem-solving, requirements analysis, software design, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Desirable experience writing KDB/Q queries and with Java garbage collection, Linux, HTML5, or Angular UI development.
