Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain reusable automation frameworks and test infrastructure for endpoint agent validation.
- Build automated tests for installation, upgrades, rollbacks, policy execution, inventory, monitoring, patching, remote actions, scripting, and agent communications.
- Create functional, integration, regression, performance, resiliency, and system-level test coverage across Windows, macOS, Linux, and mobile platforms.
- Validate endpoint agents, operating-system integrations, MDM workflows, recovery scenarios, disconnected operation, self-healing, stability, performance, resource utilization, and security.
- Develop large-scale regression suites and automation that prevents recurrence of production issues.
- Troubleshoot defects using log analysis, debugging, telemetry, and endpoint diagnostics, and reproduce customer-reported issues across diverse environments.
- Partner with Support and Engineering teams on root-cause analysis and quality-risk reduction.
- Use AI coding assistants and coding agents for test generation, code analysis, debugging, and coverage expansion, while validating AI-generated automation through engineering best practices.
Requirements
- 4+ years of hands-on software engineering, SDET, DevTest, or QA automation experience.
- Strong programming skills in Java, Kotlin, C#, or similar languages.
- Experience building automation frameworks and test infrastructure.
- Deep understanding of at least one of Windows, macOS, or Linux, including operating-system internals such as processes, services or daemons, filesystems, networking, security models, and privilege management.
- Experience testing endpoint agents, system software, security software, or device-management products.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
- Experience with virtualization platforms and automated device provisioning.
- Exposure to Microsoft Intune, Apple MDM, Android Enterprise, or Linux device management.
- Familiarity with PowerShell, Bash, Python, and operating-system scripting technologies.
