
Lead Infrastructure Engineer - Microsoft 365 Office Client Engineer

Responsibilities
- Own engineering, deployment, patching, validation, and support for Office 365 Apps across global enterprise desktop environments.
- Plan and execute software releases using pilot groups, deployment rings, quality gates, and rollback procedures.
- Automate deployment, testing, monitoring, and operational processes with scripting and infrastructure tools.
- Troubleshoot complex application and endpoint issues using logs, telemetry, and root-cause analysis.
- Serve as the technical escalation point for software releases, infrastructure incidents, and vendor support engagements.
- Partner with application, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure compatibility, compliance, and operational readiness.
- Use and validate enterprise-authorized AI-assisted recommendations in accordance with data sensitivity, resiliency, security, and auditability requirements.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in infrastructure engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Deep experience deploying, servicing, configuring, and supporting Microsoft Office 365.
- Strong expertise with Microsoft Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM), Intune, and endpoint management technologies.
- Experience managing enterprise software releases, deployment governance, validation, and rollback planning.
- Proven troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills across endpoint and infrastructure platforms.
- Experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities in infrastructure engineering workflows, with strong validation and data-sensitivity practices.
- Ability to review AI-assisted recommendations before implementation and escalate uncertainty appropriately.
- Deep knowledge of one specific infrastructure technology and scripting languages.
- Preferred: experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot, Citrix, Azure Virtual Desktop, virtual desktop environments, application compatibility testing, add-ins, enterprise software packaging, telemetry, monitoring, analytics, and automation.
