Responsibilities
- Architect, design, upgrade, and build scalable infrastructure using Kubernetes, AWS, RDS, and distributed systems patterns.
- Drive infrastructure roadmap initiatives focused on reliability, recoverability, scalability, capacity planning, benchmarking, and performance bottlenecks.
- Define and maintain SLAs, alerts, anomaly detection, observability, and operational standards across infrastructure.
- Improve distributed microservices architecture, security, CI/CD practices, and system performance.
- Lead AI enablement efforts that apply AI and automation to infrastructure reliability, developer productivity, and internal tooling.
- Build and maintain Golang services and RESTful APIs, including database and backend systems.
- Mentor engineers, influence technical direction, and translate business goals into technical roadmaps.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software engineering or infrastructure engineering experience, including significant SRE and backend experience.
- Recent experience deploying significant changes to a production application or infrastructure configuration within the past 30 days.
- Strong proficiency in Golang and experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs.
- Expertise with SQL-based relational databases, including MySQL and PostgreSQL, with experience optimizing schemas and queries at scale.
- Proficiency with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, and New Relic.
- Understanding of distributed systems patterns, including transactional outbox, event-driven architecture, stream processing, and queues.
- Experience working with Claude or equivalent large language model tools is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
- Preferred experience with AWS cloud infrastructure, AWS Aurora RDS, data engineering, data pipelines, data warehousing, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, containerized microservices, and AI developer tooling such as Claude Code, Gemini CLI, Codex, and Cursor.
- Preferred track record of shipping commercial APIs and data-driven applications and leading technical direction for reliable, high-traffic services.
