Responsibilities
- Migrate existing ML model training code from experimental or proof-of-concept stages into robust, automated pipelines.
- Design, build, and maintain continuous-training workflows for data preparation, model training, and batch scoring.
- Package and deploy traditional ML models, including ONNX models, to serving infrastructure such as Vespa and Triton.
- Automate model deployments, including deployment workflows triggered by successful Vertex AI training pipelines.
- Build automated quality and model-evaluation gates for ML pipelines.
- Own and continuously improve standards, quality, and governance across the complete ML model lifecycle.
- Act as a technical bridge between Data Science and Infrastructure teams.
Requirements
- Strong experience as a software engineer building and automating production systems.
- Deep expertise in GCP and Vertex AI, or equivalent platforms such as SageMaker.
- Expertise with Kubernetes and Docker.
- Proven experience building robust CI/CD and automation pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
- Working understanding of ML workflows and concepts including training, evaluation, and inference.
- Strong service mindset, communication skills, pragmatism, curiosity, problem-solving ability, and willingness to learn new technologies.
- Familiarity with Vespa, NVIDIA Triton, and ONNX is beneficial.
