Responsibilities
- Design and develop features for the AlertMedia Incident Response product.
- Build systems that remain correct under load and predictable when dependencies degrade during live emergencies.
- Work across Python, Django, Next.js, React, Node, and other web technologies.
- Use AI-enabled tools such as Claude, Codex, and similar platforms throughout development and problem-solving.
- Work with Git, JIRA, Jenkins, and Slack in an Agile-based environment.
- Contribute ideas and architectural improvements for a critical application.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, principal engineering, and leadership teams.
- Write and maintain unit and integration tests.
- Manage multiple projects and contribute to AlertMedia’s culture and vision.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience building scalable web applications.
- Experience with Python, Django, React, and Node is preferred.
- Experience with Linux-based containers using Docker or Kubernetes.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services or other cloud services is required.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and other storage technologies is required.
- Proficiency with AI coding tools such as Claude, Cursor, Codex, or similar tools.
- An established practice of writing unit and integration tests.
- A bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science or computer engineering is preferred.
- Ability to collaborate with principal engineers and leadership on architectural evolution.
- Strong organizational, communication, cross-functional collaboration, and English-language skills.
- Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
