Responsibilities
- Lead design discussions covering APIs, databases, caching, messaging, resilience, and observability.
- Design end-to-end architectures and scalable, maintainable solutions aligned with business goals.
- Lead engineering efforts for AWS solutions and design cloud-native applications using modern architecture practices.
- Develop strategies and best practices for cloud-based data lakes and real-time or near-real-time data ingestion, processing, monitoring, and reporting.
- Evaluate software patterns, tools, and frameworks through proof-of-concepts.
- Incorporate security and DevSecOps principles into application architecture.
- Create technical documentation, architectural diagrams, reusable best practices, and knowledge-transfer materials.
- Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with product owners, technical teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Support off-hours incident response when needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering and architecture, including 3+ years in system or application design.
- Strong foundation in Spring Boot, Java, Python, and/or JavaScript.
- Experience designing and deploying large-scale, multi-region cloud-native solutions, preferably on AWS.
- Experience with event-driven and streaming architectures, containers, EKS, and ECS.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and modern software development methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams and cross-functional projects and explaining complex technical decisions.
- AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional certification is strongly preferred.
- Experience conducting architecture reviews, presenting design proposals, and delivering hands-on proof-of-concepts is preferred.
- Finance-domain business process automation experience is preferred.
