Responsibilities
- Plan testing approaches and test data activities based on business requirements, solution designs, and functional specifications.
- Design and develop functional and non-functional use cases and test cases.
- Maintain and execute test scripts using test management tools and report testing progress and status.
- Identify, track, investigate, reproduce, and verify issues with developers.
- Provide feedback on product limitations and key challenges identified during testing.
- Take responsibility for product life cycle quality and participate actively in agile team duties.
- Train and mentor others in software testing methodologies and quality improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience.
- Experience with Energy Management Systems and SCADA systems, including state estimation, short circuit analysis, security constrained dispatch, security analysis, network modeling, and congestion forecasting.
- In-depth knowledge of quality assurance programs, procedures, and regulatory agency guidelines.
- Diversified knowledge of engineering, electric utilities, and related functions.
- Ability to develop innovative solutions and make quality decisions that may significantly impact contracts.
- Experience with Zephyr Scale in Jira and Azure DevOps is preferred.
- Knowledge of QA testing principles and automated testing experience using tools such as Visual Studio, NUnit, or TestNG is preferred.
- Experience programming with C# or Java is preferred.
- Authorization permitting work for Hitachi Energy in India is required.
