Base Salary
$120k - $261k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver scalable software and services that automate Microsoft 365 capacity delivery from supply and capacity signals through provisioning, validation, and decommissioning.
- Develop automation and intelligent workflows to simplify infrastructure processes, reduce manual operations, and improve delivery speed and reliability.
- Apply AI and emerging technologies to improve engineering efficiency, operational decision-making, troubleshooting, and automation.
- Drive technical design for complex features while balancing scalability, reliability, resiliency, security, performance, and maintainability.
- Collaborate across engineering organizations and stakeholder groups to clarify requirements, manage dependencies, and deliver solutions.
- Use telemetry and production data to identify bottlenecks and failure patterns and improve service health and operational efficiency.
- Contribute to design reviews, code reviews, automated testing, monitoring, controlled deployments, and operational readiness.
- Mentor engineers and share technical knowledge and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience, including coding in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- Preferred: master’s degree and 6+ years of experience, or bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: 3+ years of experience with large-scale cloud or distributed systems.
- Experience designing, developing, and delivering production software or distributed systems.
- Experience designing for scalability, reliability, resiliency, performance, and operational maintainability.
- Experience operating distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, or resource provisioning platforms.
- Experience building automation and orchestration workflows across multiple services, systems, or organizations.
- Experience using telemetry and data to improve reliability and guide engineering decisions.
- Experience applying AI, machine learning, or AI-assisted development technologies to automation or operational workflows.
- Technical leadership and communication experience driving design and execution across multiple engineering teams.
