Base Salary
$120k - $261k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and operate services supporting the movement and fulfillment of Surface and Xbox devices.
- Use AI across the software development lifecycle and lead high-quality coding, code review, testing, and maintainability practices.
- Improve reliability through telemetry, debugging, root cause analysis, system health initiatives, and incident resolution as the directly responsible individual.
- Own or influence complex system architecture and design while balancing performance, scalability, cost, and trade-offs.
- Drive security, privacy, compliance, automation, CI/CD, and safe deployments.
- Collaborate cross-functionally, incorporate customer insights, and continuously improve engineering systems and processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- Experience coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.
- Passing the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire or transfer and every two years thereafter.
- Preferred: master's degree and 6+ years of technical engineering experience, or bachelor's degree and 8+ years of technical engineering experience, or equivalent experience.
