Responsibilities
- Define and evolve the enterprise Quality Engineering strategy, standards, roadmap, and governance model.
- Drive modernization of test automation, test architecture, non-functional testing, and software quality practices.
- Establish quality metrics covering test effectiveness, defect escape rates, coverage confidence, feedback cycle times, and engineering quality indicators.
- Develop and scale a Quality Maturity Framework and Quality Champion network across engineering teams.
- Design and implement quality engineering platforms and AI-enabled solutions that improve developer productivity and software quality.
- Advance Test Data Management, Service Virtualization, Performance Engineering, and automation capabilities.
- Develop intelligent automation including risk-based testing, automated triage, failure clustering, flaky test reduction, and intelligent test selection.
- Serve as a senior technical authority in architecture reviews, governance forums, and cross-functional engineering initiatives.
- Mentor engineers and technical leaders and foster engineering-led quality practices and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- 12+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Quality Engineering, SDET, or related disciplines.
- Deep expertise building and scaling enterprise test automation frameworks across unit, integration, component, contract, end-to-end, performance, and non-functional testing.
- Strong programming experience in Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, .NET, or similar modern languages.
- Experience designing production-grade engineering platforms, tools, and automation solutions.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD, continuous testing, and modern software delivery practices.
- Demonstrated success influencing technical strategy and driving adoption across large, complex, matrixed organizations.
- Ability to partner across engineering, product, infrastructure, and governance functions to deliver measurable quality outcomes.
- Preferred experience modernizing enterprise Quality Engineering functions in Test Data Management, Service Virtualization, and Performance Engineering and Automation.
- Preferred experience building or implementing AI-assisted quality engineering capabilities, quality maturity models, engineering standards, and communities of practice.
- Experience operating within regulated environments while balancing speed, quality, and governance.
- Technical leadership history delivering scalable engineering platforms and enterprise-wide impact.
