Responsibilities

  • Lead architecture, technical strategy, and design for developer platforms, services, and tooling across IC3 and its Azure DevOps ecosystem.
  • Drive AI-powered engineering capabilities, intelligent automation, agentic workflows, and LLM-enabled solutions that improve developer productivity.
  • Modernize build, test, release, source control, and developer workflows for greater consistency, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Define common engineering platforms, frameworks, and services that reduce duplication and standardize practices.
  • Partner with engineering teams, architects, product managers, leaders, and other organizations to deliver end-to-end engineering-experience solutions.
  • Evaluate technical tradeoffs, manage dependencies, and resolve architectural challenges spanning multiple teams, products, and technology stacks.
  • Champion secure development, CI/CD automation, observability, telemetry, testing, reliability, and operational rigor.
  • Establish technical standards, industry practices, and governance models for secure and compliant software development.
  • Mentor engineers through technical leadership, design reviews, code reviews, knowledge sharing, and hands-on problem solving.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field plus solid technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree plus extensive technical engineering experience, or a bachelor’s degree plus extensive technical engineering experience, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems, cloud platforms, production services, or enterprise software systems.
  • Experience leading complex technical initiatives across multiple teams, services, or organizations.
  • Deep expertise in software architecture, system design, scalability, reliability, performance, and operational excellence.
  • Proficiency in C#, Java, Python, C++, JavaScript, or similar programming languages.
  • Experience with Azure, AWS, GCP, or other cloud platforms, with Azure preferred.
  • Experience building or leading AI-powered solutions, production AI applications, LLM-enabled experiences, agentic workflows, intelligent automation, applied machine learning capabilities, or AI-assisted engineering practices.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, automated testing, monitoring, telemetry, observability, incident management, and DevOps practices.
  • Strong technical leadership, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder-alignment, partnership, and mentoring skills.
  • Understanding of data privacy, compliance, and security in large-scale distributed systems.
  • Ability to create clarity in ambiguous environments, influence without authority, and communicate complex technical concepts to engineering, product, and business stakeholders.
