Base Salary
$170k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the design, implementation, and evolution of the data layer for P&L and client profitability reporting.
- Build and maintain Java-based APIs that ensure accuracy and performance of financial metrics.
- Design and operate high-throughput data pipelines for financial data processing.
- Collaborate with Finance, Product, and Engineering teams to develop robust systems.
- Implement data quality checks and reconciliation mechanisms for financial outputs.
- Make architectural decisions focused on scalability and maintainability.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical standards.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience building highly scalable backend services in Java, preferably with Spring Boot.
- Strong experience with multi-threaded and asynchronous processing patterns.
- Deep SQL expertise, including query optimization and performance tuning.
- Experience designing financial data models and working with large datasets.
- Experience building robust data ingestion and transformation pipelines.
- Solid understanding of API design principles.
- Strong production debugging skills across application and infrastructure layers.
- Proficiency with git, including branching and conflict resolution.
- Experience in Linux-based environments with containerized and cloud-native deployments.
