Responsibilities
- Implement automatic, fast auto-scaling for live rides and large events.
- Maintain critical infrastructure for optimal member experiences across multiple clusters.
- Provide a platform for machine learning and other workloads to enable rapid development.
- Promote best practices for building and operating reliable systems.
- Serve as a domain expert in observability and monitoring.
- Consult on system design to meet reliability and capacity needs.
- Automate infrastructure and day-to-day tasks.
- Conduct post-mortems of infrastructure incidents.
- Assist with operational security and compliance.
- Identify security and reliability threats and advocate for solutions.
Requirements
- Experience maintaining scalable and stable Kubernetes clusters.
- Knowledge of observability and monitoring best practices for Kubernetes.
- Understanding of security best practices for Kubernetes clusters.
- Passion for aiding development teams in transitioning to a container-native environment.
- Experience with CI/CD systems like Jenkins or ArgoCD.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
- Ability to triage issues and perform root-cause analysis.
- Strong sense of ownership for reliable and observable software.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Golang, Java, or C.
