Base Salary
$192k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain production web applications across frontend and backend systems for the Patient Onboarding team.
- Lead technically complex initiatives from problem definition through design, implementation, launch, and production support.
- Improve foundational systems and engineering practices while providing technical direction across teams.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Analytics, Data, and other engineering teams to define and deliver patient experience improvements.
- Use AI-assisted software development tools such as Claude Code in regular engineering workflows.
- Improve engineering leverage through tooling, documentation, shared architecture, and reducing concentrated system knowledge.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including Staff-level scope or leadership of complex initiatives across multiple teams or systems.
- Strong full-stack engineering experience with modern frontend frameworks, backend APIs, data modeling, distributed systems, and production web applications.
- Experience leading technically complex projects from problem definition through production support.
- Experience with high-impact user journeys such as onboarding, checkout, registration, eligibility, payments, marketplaces, or other conversion-critical workflows.
- Experience influencing technical direction across functions or teams and communicating tradeoffs to drive alignment.
- Hands-on experience using AI-assisted software development tools as part of regular engineering workflows.
- Preferred: experience building adopted AI-powered engineering workflows, tooling, or automation that measurably improved development speed or quality.
- Preferred: experience in healthcare, insurance, fintech, or another regulated domain.
- Preferred: experience using product, operational, or funnel data to evaluate technical opportunities and engineering investments.
- Preferred: experience improving engineering leverage through tooling, documentation, shared architecture, or reducing concentrated system knowledge.
