Base Salary

$168k - $227k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design software systems with peer teams and customers to meet mission needs.
  • Develop cloud-native software systems using Java and Python.
  • Build highly available software services using AWS and other Amazon technologies.
  • Design and develop performant systems that satisfy mission criteria and requirements.
  • Mentor and help onboard new team members.
  • Lead technical roadmap definition and determine features and performance improvements.
  • Support and operate software systems managing real spacecraft and collaborate with operations, mission planning, and hardware teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 5+ years of programming experience with at least one programming language.
  • 5+ years leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team leader.
  • Preferred: 5+ years covering the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, refugee, or asylee due to export control requirements.
